Mooramie Manor, kensington

Unlocking the potential of your existing space

Mooramie Manor is a beautiful example of what’s possible when you unlock the potential of your existing space.

For Nel and Pete, a busy family of four with two kids, a dog, and two cats, their renovation was about reimagining their home to better suit their modern lifestyle. By working within the boundaries of the original structure, we breathed new life into the home, making it more functional, open and bright.

The biggest challenge? Re-working the unusual 1980s rear addition.

Instead of expanding outwards, we maximised the existing space, reconfiguring the floor plan to improve flow and bring in more natural light.

The home’s character items were carefully restored, ensuring its original charm was preserved.

This project was a true collaboration with Interior Architect Sally Rhys Jones, the building team at KPL Building and the team at Good Manors, who brought the outdoor spaces to life.

The final design reflects Nel and Pete’s vibrant family life, with thoughtful details that make the home as warm and welcoming as it is functional.

Mooramie Manor shows that you don’t need to expand your footprint to create a home that works for you. With a little creativity and care, you can transform the space you already have into something truly special.

Mooramie Manor is located on the traditional lands of the Gadigal and Bidjigal people.
